I’d like to take just a small space to give credit to the person who
really inspired me to want to blog (not that I’ve actually gotten the
hang of it yet). Randy Elrod is the man (and blog) that made me think that I could really do this. Thanks Randy!
My Introduction to Blogging
Jury Duty Day 1

Today
I began what promises to be a completely new experience in my life. I
began what should be about a week of jury duty here in Cobb County.
Today was just plain boring. I really don’t want to sound like I’m
complaining here (though I guess I am), but from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm,
minus lunch, I sat with over 100 other jurors in a crowded room with
nothing to do.
I started the day with high hopes that I would be
able to experience the justice system and serve my civic duty, but
tonight I simply dread going back to that floor of the courthouse in
the morning. Don’t get me wrong, the people that are there were great!
My only real complaint is that accomodations that are afforded to
jurors that are compelled to simply wait for someone to call their
number.
I still really hope that I can actullay get assigned to
an actual jury on a case and be part of rendering a verdict. I’ll
continue to post my experience here (once there is really something to
say).
