Heartbound Ministries

Over the past week I was privileged to work with Andrea Shelton of Heartbound Ministries to put together a quick photo montage video. She works tirelessly to promote the prison chaplain program in Georgia and personally does great work in the prisons all over the state.

You can learn a little more about Andrea’s story and her ministry though another video that I put together a couple of years ago.

Sixty Feet

I’m really excited about the launch of sixtyfeet.org. Sixty Feet is a group of people dedicated to rescuing a group of children from terrible conditions in Uganda.

I was privileged to be asked to develop a website / blog for them in preparation for an initial trip that they’ll be taking in a couple of weeks. I’m very happy with the way the site turned out and I’m even more excited about the response that its getting. Soon we’ll be adding video content and ways for people to really get involved in the effort there.

In the mean time I would love for you to head over to the Sixty Feet site and see what its all about. I would also love to hear what you think about the site!

Truth Sermon Series Graphics

This new sermon series from Dr. Youssef will begin next week and I’m excited about the graphics for the series. I love using silhouettes and light rays in my work and this design has both. Now the challenge will be to get this same effect when I move the design from a RGB document to a CMYK document for print. The challenge will be getting the layer blending effects to look right.

Turning the Tide Graphics

For this Sunday one of our staff pastors is filling in for Dr. Youssef. For this single sermon I needed a simple, quick graphic that worked for a sermon for which I had only a little information. The font has become one of my favorites (and may make another appearance again soon).

Apostles Anniversary Video Shoot

Recently at Apostles we did one of our larger video shoots of the year. Each year we do a video about the vision of the church for the anniversary of the church (which falls on Mother’s Day each year). We’ll use this video in various forms throughout the next year so we really work hard to get the look right.

For this shoot we rented some fake brick walls, picture frames, and wooden obelisks. We also rented a dolly with track plus brought in a RED (courtesy Abiyoyo Productions) for a true film look. Our second camera was our own EX3 with a Letus 35mm adaptor to give us a similar look for our cut away shots.

Our Producer and Director of Photography did a great job of getting all the lighting together and making this shoot look amazing. Take a look at the gallery below for some shots from the day.

Once the video airs on Mother’s Day i’ll post a final version here…
