I never knew as a kid how much work it took to go on vacation — but we’re just about done with that. The bags are packed and we’re checked in for our flight in the morning. I really don’t know what to expect from California, but here we come…

I plan to do some mobile blogging from my iPhone over the trip plus take pictures and post them here and to my flickr page as wifi permits.

Four days from now Leslie and I will be in San Francisco celebrating thanks giving with her sister and brother-in-law. We’re planning to take in all of the "touristy" stuff while we’re there including Alcatraz, Muir woods, and Sonoma valley — not to mention some famous bridge; but we also want to see things off the beaten path that the average tourist has on their list. Any suggestions?
